Summary:
Our customer's first and last impression of the facility will depend on how they are treated by our staff. A server is an integral part of a dynamic hospitality team. The server position ensures a positive dining experience by greeting guests, taking/serving orders, managing payments, and coordinating with kitchen staff.
Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the highest level of service and guests' satisfaction by utilizing the Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Guest Interaction: Greet and seat guests, present menus, answer questions, offer recommendations, and check on their satisfaction throughout the meal.
  • Order Management: Take accurate food/drink orders, enter them into the POS system, communicate special needs to kitchen/bar, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Service Delivery: Serve meals and beverages, refill drinks, clear finished courses, and reset tables efficiently.
  • Financial Transactions: Handle payments, process transactions accurately, and provide correct change.
  • Restaurant Upkeep: Prepare dining areas (setting tables), perform side work (rolling silverware, cleaning), and maintain sanitation and safety standards.
  • Teamwork: Assist colleagues by seating tables, running food, and stepping in when needed to support the overall team.
  • Completing opening/closing and side duties as delegated by your management team.
  • Complying with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and GolfNorth Properties Inc. Health & Safety program.

Qualifications:

  • Must be an energetic individual
  • Previous serving experience (preferred)
  • Well-organized with strong communication skills
  • Positive Individual who is teamwork-oriented and committed to working in a fun fast paced environment
  • Smart Serve Certification
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Safe food handling certification is an asset
  • Reliable transportation is required

Working Conditions:

  • Bending, balance, lifting (up to 40 lbs.), extended periods of standing
  • Working weekends and holidays will be required
