Job description

We are looking for enthusiastic Dining Room & Banquet Servers during our evening and weekend shifts to provide an excellent dining experience. Great servers will create a professional and friendly environment that exceeds customers’ needs and expectations.

Job Type: Full-time or part-time

Pay: From $11.50-$21.50per hour plus tips

Responsibilities

  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of serving routines.
  • Thoroughly understand all menu items, features, and drinks offered by the Davenport Country Club.
  • Interact with customers, take orders and serve food and drinks
  • Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
  • Be available throughout the shift to assist members with any questions, concerns, or requests as needed.
  • Complete opening, mid-shift, and closing duties as they pertain to your scheduled shift to maintain a smooth-running operation.
  • Setting up the banquet/dining rooms.
  • Assists supervisors in setting up special events and parties throughout the Club.
  • Promotes high morale and enthusiasm among staff by providing a positive and team-oriented mentality both on and off the floor.
  • Provides a high level of cooperation and communication with all departments of the club
  • Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for restaurant patrons
  • Clear tables during service. Control guest checks and secure proper payment
  • Restock and stock inventory and supplies
  • Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned from time to time.

Job Skills/Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.
  • Experience as a server in a comparable establishment (2-3 years preferred)
  • Computer literacy
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to keep the area organized, stocked and clean
  • High school or equivalent education required
  • Availability on nights, weekends, and major holidays. (i.e. New Years, Mother’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving.)
  • Ability to lift/carry server trays. (˜30lbs)
