Job description

Poston Butte Golf Club, located in Florence, AZ, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Server! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced, hospitality-focused organization. As part of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Summary: 
Ideal candidates are dependable, customer service-centric, and work well in a team. Demonstrating a strong level of communication and interpersonal skills, a server will be processing orders and serving food and beverage items to customers, ensuring 100% guest satisfaction.
 
Schedule:
Ideal candidates have flexible schedules with availability to work weekends and holidays, as needed.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times
  • Provide prompt and efficient customer service
  • Display knowledge of the F&B menu
  • Take guests' food and/or drink orders and turn it in to kitchen, bar, etc.
  • Serve beverages and prepared meals to guests in an accurate and timely manner
  • Adhere to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies including confirming legal drinking age and discontinuing service to intoxicated guests
  • Check back to ensure guest satisfaction; replenish items as necessary
  • Suggest and serve dessert, coffee and other items as applicable
  • Handle all cash and/or credit cards for payment following all standard operating procedures
  • Keep tables, dining room and workstation(s) sanitized and organized
  • Listen and respond to customer complaints
  • Perform clean-up and closing procedures as assigned by manager
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by a supervisor or manager
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • 1–2 years of food service experience
  • Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • A thorough understanding of fine and casual dining
  • Must be of legal age to serve liquor according to state law
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills
  • Must be dependable
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
Working Conditions:
  • Physical activity including long periods (6–8 hours) of standing, walking, bending, and scooping
  • The employee will be required regularly to reach with arms and hands
  • The employee will occasionally be required to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Use of sight, reading, and wrist movement to serve meals and beverages, operate food service equipment and clean food service areas
  • Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, and depth perception
  • Noise level is moderate
  • The employee will be expected to work extended hours during golf and holiday season
  • The employee will be expected to work weekends and holidays
