Job description

Do you like to have fun at work? A flexible schedule? Competitive pay, referral bonus, and medical benefits? At Idle Hour Club, we are in the happiness business and we love helping our members connect with the parts of life that make it worth living. We are the premier private country club in the Middle Georgia market with a brand-new pool and back patio. We have the most fun and rewarding work environment around. We have golf, tennis, pickle ball, pool, fitness, incredible indoor/outdoor dining, a full-service event planning department and a team of incredibly happy people that love being part of something that changes lives for the better. We would love to have you part of Idle Hour.
Position Summary:
Idle Hour Club is currently seeking qualified candidates for full-time and part-time Server positions. These positions are responsible for providing food & beverage service in the Club's ala carte dining facilities throughout the Club. Idle Hour offers flexible schedules with the ability to accommodate other jobs and/or school responsibilities.
Position Responsibilities:
A Server at IHCC holds the following responsibilities, which will include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide our membership and their guests an exceptional dining experience that exceeds their expectations in a professional, yet relaxing and welcoming atmosphere while reacting to the differing dining requirements of each individual table.
  • Act as a liaison between the member and the kitchen, being able to fully execute the overall steps-of-service in an efficient manner from welcome to farewell, while following all standards of service to provide a consistent dining experience.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of all food & beverage menus, including beer, wine, and spirits offerings while being able to describe items offered in detail from memory.
  • Understand how to operate a point-of-sale system to enter each table's orders correctly and expediently, ensuring the food & beverages are accurately prepared and delivered to the correct position numbers for each table.
  • Execute pre- and post-shift responsibilities as defined by the Dining Supervisor and/or the Food & Beverage Manager in an efficient manner so that the dining areas are setup properly prior to guest arrival and that the dining areas are properly cleaned at the conclusion of the meal period and all necessary sidework tasks are completed.

Requirements
Successful applicants will have a strong work ethic, ability to work with a team, and an engaging personality. Applicants should have excellent communication skills with which to maintain and build relationships with the members of the Club. Prior service experience with a specific focus on beverage knowledge is encouraged, though a positive attitude and eagerness to learn will overcome lack of experience. The ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time is necessary and to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
