Job description

Hilton Garden Inn Patriot Place, a Colwen Hotels Property, is seeking experienced and friendly Part Time Servers to join our team. You will be the face of our restaurant, providing memorable experiences for our guests. In this role you will need to be quick on your feet, have a positive upbeat attitude, and enjoy talking to people. If this sounds like you, we would like to meet you!
General Responsibilities:
  • Acknowledge and welcome each guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly greeting (use guest name whenever possible).
  • Take food and beverage orders and deliver to the kitchen.
  • Deliver food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items.
  • Answer questions regarding the menu.
  • Maintain knowledge of all menu items and composition.
  • Ensure that food is prepared correctly and to the guest's satisfaction; return incorrect or improperly cooked items to the kitchen.
  • Collect plates and clear table as guests finish their meal.
  • Adhere to all applicable Colwen and brand standards for food and beverage service and compliance with state liquor policies.
  • Clean designated areas in accordance with defined procedures.
  • Ensure sideboards are adequately stocked.
  • Set tables to standards, and ensure that all items are clean and in good repair.
  • Prepare guest checks and collect payment.
  • Assist with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, you may required to perform a variety or duties in multiple departments during a shift

Requirements:
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, ability to solve problems
  • Ability to operate point-of-sale system
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Ability to maintain personal hygiene
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience as a server preferred
  • Ability to work 7-day rotational schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays
