Position Purpose:
Provides quality patient centered care considering age specific, developmental, cultural and
n-patient, on the unit we have 12 LDR's, 4 High Risks Rooms, 7 Bed Triage Areas, 6 Ante partum Rooms, 3 C/Section Rooms, 4 Bed PACU. All patient rooms are private
Treatment Team consists of RNs, Surgical Technicians Patient Care Technicians & Unit Clerks. - all located on the unit.
Our team consist of 24/7 In-House Providers
  • Obstetricians
  • -Midwives
  • - OB residents
  • -Pediatricians
  • -Neonatologist
  • -Anesthesiologist
  • -CRNA
  • -Maternal Fetal Medicine available

We require 13 weeks of orientation OB Core Course. (Provided as part of orientation)
Shifts Available: 7:00 pm-730 am shifts.
Status Available: Part time Every Other Weekend and Every other Holiday per year required for Full-time and Part-Time team members.
Required Qualifications:
Education
Graduation from a school of nursing that results in the ability of the graduate to sit for the NCLEX exam to become licensed as a Registered Nurse. BSN preferred.
New graduate nurses, requires licensure examination scheduled within 45 days of hire
Licensure
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• BLS.
• ACLS required for the following departments : Float Pool, Cardiac/Cath Lab, AICU, Emergency
Experience
Experienced Canadian Registered Nurses are encouraged to apply
  • Graduation from accredited nursing program.
  • Effective January 1, 2013 all new hires must have a BSN degree or must agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five (5) years from date of hire or transfer to an RN role.
  • Knowledge of nursing theory, practice and age specific needs
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to initiate and maintain collegial relationships with coworkers and therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
  • Critical thinking skills necessary to perform principal duties and responsibilities of job description.
  • Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when planning and performing professional nursing care
