Position Title:
Student Worker - IT Security Operations Center (SOC) (Work-Study or Non-Work Study)
Job Description:
The Security Operations Center (SOC) is responsible for monitoring and protecting the university's network and systems from cyber threats.
As a SOC student worker, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in incident response, threat hunting, and security operations. You will also be able to develop your skills in various cybersecurity technologies and methodologies.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor security systems and respond to security incidents
• Assist in threat hunting and incident response efforts
• Help maintain and improve security operations processes
• Participate in training and awareness efforts for the university community
• Develop your skills in cybersecurity technologies and methodologies
Minimum Qualifications:
• Enrolled as a student in a computer science, cybersecurity, data science, or re lated field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong interest in cybersecurity, computer science, and/or data science
• Familiarity with security tools and technologies is a plus (but not required)
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges

Salary and Hours
