Schedule: Sunday - Tuesday | 8:00 PM - 4:00 AM
Position Overview
Citadel Security USA is seeking a dependable Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer to provide overnight coverage in the Ames area. This position focuses on routine property checks, scheduled lock-up duties, service-call response, and accurate documentation.
The ideal candidate is reliable, attentive, comfortable working independently, and able to follow established procedures while maintaining a professional presence throughout the shift.
Primary Responsibilities
Property Patrol & Security Checks
  • Patrol assigned properties throughout the Ames area according to established schedules.
  • Conduct routine inspections of designated buildings, grounds, entrances, and other assigned areas.
  • Complete scheduled lock-up and securing procedures.
  • Check doors, gates, and other designated access points as required.
  • Remain alert for unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, property damage, or safety concerns.

Service Call Response
  • Respond to service calls and property-related requests as they arise.
  • Assess routine situations and take appropriate action within established procedures.
  • Notify supervisors or designated contacts when additional assistance is needed.
  • Follow location-specific instructions when addressing security concerns.

Reporting & Documentation
  • Record patrol activity and completed property checks accurately.
  • Prepare clear incident reports when security-related events occur.
  • Document unusual conditions, service calls, and other matters requiring follow-up.
  • Submit required documentation according to company procedures and established deadlines.
