Unarmed Security Officer – Part Time
Locations: Reading & Hamburg, PA | Weekend & Overnight Opportunities
Pay: Varies by site
+$0.25/hour military & active-duty differential

KRE Security, LLC is hiring Unarmed Security Officers for permanent part-time assignments in Reading and Hamburg, Pennsylvania. These positions are ideal for candidates seeking stable, scheduled work in a professional and structured environment.
While officers are expected to remain committed to their assigned permanent schedule, there are also opportunities to pick up additional shifts outside of regularly scheduled hours based on availability and operational needs.
Shifts Available / Location
  • Saturday - Sunday 10:30PM - 6:30AM — Reading, PA
  • Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 3:00PM - 11:00PM — Leesport, PA
  • Saturdays 11:00AM - 9:00PM — Leesport, PA
  • Saturdays 9:00PM - 7:00AM — Leesport, PA
  • Sundays 11:00PM - 7:00AM — Leesport, PA
  • Saturday - Sunday 7:00AM - 3:00PM — Reading, PA
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a visible, professional security presence during assigned shifts
  • Conduct routine foot and mobile patrols of assigned properties
  • Monitor access control points, alarms, and site conditions
  • Respond to security incidents, emergencies, and safety concerns
  • Complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs using Belfry Software
  • Enforce post orders, site policies, and standard operating procedures
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, site contacts, and fellow officers
Requirements
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior experience strongly preferred in:
    • Unarmed security
    • Military service
    • Law enforcement
  • Experience with patrol operations, access control, and incident reporting preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional appearance and customer-service-oriented demeanor
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Must pass a mandatory background check
  • Required in-person orientation prior to assignment
Pay & Benefits
  • Hourly rate varies by site and assignment
