VICE PRESIDENT: Vice President of Student Services

Job Description:

Maintain knowledge of best proctoring practices, diversity-related issues, and legislation. Provide a safe and effective testing environment that protects the integrity of testing and testing content. Illustrate excellent customer service to all test-takers, colleagues, and test providers. Honor the code of conduct as it relates to Hinds Community College and test providers.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF THE FUNCTION

All Hinds Community College employees must commit to the Caring Campus approach to student engagement and daily apply these general behavioral objectives: listen to student questions and concerns with a positive attitude and make meaningful connections with students.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

AA or AS Degree

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Earn exam certifications to successfully administer assessments
  • Stay abreast of proctor procedures and protocols, recertify annually
  • Comply with the security, technology, and administrative standards set by test providers
  • Follow and abide by state and federal guidelines as it relate to testing
  • Keep testing credentials confidential and current
  • Actively proctor test-takers during testing in the computer lab
  • Working Evenings
  • Illustrate excellent customer service to test-takers, the Testing Team, other colleagues, vendors, and all persons who contact Hinds Community College
  • Ensure that test-takers do not load any software on computers
  • Maintain a clean testing lab and its need of resources to conduct business as an efficient testing lab
  • Prepare workstations and testing lab for assessment functions and testing
  • Provide a safe and effective testing environment that protects the integrity of testing and testing content
