Join us!At Covenant Living at Cromwell, you'll do more than provide security-you'll help create a safe, welcoming environment where residents can enjoy peace of mind every day. As a Security Guard, you'll serve as a trusted presence on campus, protecting residents, team members, visitors, and property while responding to emergencies and security concerns with professionalism and compassion.
Schedule

This is a Part-Time Overnight position with a consistent schedule:

  • Friday & Saturday Nights
  • 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM
  • Every Other Weekend

This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in an independent overnight environment and take pride in maintaining a safe and secure community.

What You'll Do
  • Conduct routine patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas to ensure a safe and secure campus.
  • Respond promptly to resident emergency calls and security-related incidents.
  • Coordinate with on-call personnel and emergency responders when needed, including contacting 911 during emergency situations.
  • Secure exterior doors, monitor security equipment, and maintain campus access control.
  • Monitor vehicle traffic and enforce campus safety policies.
  • Investigate, document, and complete reports for incidents, accidents, and unusual occurrences.
  • Identify safety hazards and submit maintenance requests as needed.
  • Maintain familiarity with emergency systems, fire panels, utility shut-offs, and campus safety procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, visitors, and team members.
  • Support residents with non-emergency service requests while maintaining security priorities.
  • Assist leadership during emergency situations and other campus needs as directed.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong observation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two or more years of security, public safety, military, law enforcement, healthcare, or related experience.
  • First Aid and/or CPR certification.
  • Experience working with seniors, residents, or customers in a service-focused environment.

Compensation Pay Range:

$16.94 - $20.88 per hour

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $16.94 - $20.88 per hour. There are numerous factors taken into consideration in determining the actual offered rate of pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and external equity.
