Description: ARMED AND UNARMED SECURITY OFFICER - SPECIAL EVENTS PART-TIME - ERIE AND SURROUNDING AREAS

We are currently hiring Part-Time/As Needed Special Event Unarmed Security Officers to assist with special events (sports events, concerts, fairs, etc.) in Erie, PA and surrounding areas. 


This position is responsible for providing armed (must have valid Pennsylvania Act 235) and unarmed security services at our client sites, conducting random foot patrols in and around the client site, and responding to security situations as needed. The employee is responsible for identifying and handling security threats, unsafe conditions, or hazards, and/or other emergency situations. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.Required training is necessary for this position and is company paid.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Foot patrol and static access control post assignments to ensure the safety and security of the client, their staff, and the community.
  • Monitor cameras for safety/security concerns.
  • Proactively engages in security performance duties for maximum visibility and threat deterrence.
  • Actively seeks and engages in learning and development opportunities to ensure peak performance by completing and/or demonstrating the following:
  • Accomplishes specific work tasks on site to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of duty assignments.
  • Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed, and provides data to appropriate personnel.
  • Exhibits the ability to professionally interact with all individuals in a courteous manner, and is able to de-escalate potentially unsafe, hostile situations.
  • Performs tasks that are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or redesigned depending upon individual circumstances.

Qualifications

  • Applicant must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Applicants who apply for the armed position must have a valid Pennsylvania Act 235 Lethal Weapons certification. 
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be able to handle and prioritize multiple assignments, and write effective, concise, and legible reports.
  • Applicant will be required to complete all training.
