You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points and alarm systems, and assist with X-ray screening activities. This role calls for strong customer service and communication while providing a reassuring presence for patients, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate hospital personnel and/or emergency responders.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and report observations.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with access control and directing individuals as needed.
  • Maintain required certifications and carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
