- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, medical facility concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related issues to the appropriate contacts.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas, assisting with access control, visitor screening, and direction-giving while maintaining a professional presence in a healthcare location.
- Support staff and visitors during routine operations and/or urgent situations by providing information, de-escalating conflicts when possible, and communicating with supervisors and local responders as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- A New York State Security Guard License is required.
- A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
