What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and administrators by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established school district protocols and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations to school administration and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain required documentation, and handle assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, training, and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
