Description
Duties and Responsiblities
• Maintain constant and active surveillance of the pool and surrounding areas
• Identify and respond quickly to unsafe conditions or behaviors
• Enforce facility rules and safety regulations
• Provide clear instructions to patrons when safety concerns arise
• Respond immediately and appropriately to aquatic emergencies
• Perform water rescues and administer first aid when needed
• Activate the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) when required
• Provide CPR, AED use, and first aid care as trained
• Complete incident and accident reports when necessary
• Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned
• Maintain cleanliness of the pool deck, surrounding areas, and equipment
• Assist with equipment inspections when assigned
• Ensure first aid supplies and safety equipment remain accessible
• Attend required lifeguard in-service trainings
• Participate in skill reviews and emergency response practice
• Maintain required certifications and training standards
Requirements
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must possess Lifeguard/First Aid, CPR Professional Rescuer, and AED certification through the American Red Cross or a nationally recognized equivalent.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend. Ability to write using proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Ability to speak and communicate effectively using correct English.
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: General knowledge of office equipment, telephone, and customer service.
