Student Worker - Learning Services Scribe (Work-Study or Non-Work Study)

General Job Description:

A student scribe for the Learning Services department is a representative of the office both in the office and on campus. The appointed individual will:

  • Listen to assigned audio recordings and produce detailed, accurate written notes.
  • Work directly with students to clarify content, answer questions, and ensure notes meet their learning needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all student information and course content.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and students regarding deadlines and note-taking preferences.
  • Use phone etiquette, computer literacy is required.
  • Enter data accurately.
  • Run campus errands.
  • Learn particulars/responsibilities of the office.
  • Be friendly and outgoing/team player.

Salary and Hours

  • Students are paid the current minimum wage for Maryland.
  • Students will work a total of eight (8) hours per week.
