POSITION TITLE: Adjunct Hiring Pool - Physics & Astronomy
COMPENSATION RANGE: 1,080.00 - 1,300.00 per credit hour

Position Summary:
Candidates are sought to form a hiring pool for temporaryfull-time and part-time positions in Physics and Astronomy. Teachingassignments will typically include lower-division service courses but mayinclude upper-division undergraduate courses. Depending on the need and theinstructor's background, assignments could be in physical science, physics,astronomy, or scientific writing, and could include a course taken bypreservice elementary school teachers.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Master's or Doctoral degree in Physics or Astronomy
Or
A Master's or Doctoral degree in another discipline that includes at least 18credit hours of content relevant to the instructional assignment.
Or
A bachelor's degree in Physics, Astronomy, or related field and three or moreyears of full-time professional experience relevant to the courses being taught
Potential for, or evidence of, innovative, learner-centeredpedagogy
A commitment to high-quality instruction isessential.
PreferredRequirements:Successful teaching experience at the universitylevel.
Experience in culturally responsive teaching.
