Job description

We are seeking a skilled, team-oriented and professional Licensed Lead Cosmetologist/Head Spa Therapist to join our team long-term. As a Lead Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our clients, helping them achieve their hair and scalp goals. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional service and has a strong commitment to the beauty and wellness industry. We are a new and exciting Head Spa in the heart of downtown Mercer Island, this is a great opportunity to learn and grow with our new thriving business.

Requirements

Completion and valid cosmetology, esthetician, massage therapy license. Duties include supporting master stylist with scheduling, client prep and styling. Opportunity to build a client list and exclusive access to advanced education on site. Must be available Saturdays or Sundays.

Qualifications

  • Completion and valid cosmetology or esthetician license
  • You have a passion for wellness and hair
  • Our ideal candidate is an experienced hairstylist, esthetician or massage therapist who wants join a new and growing industry and has a passion for helping clients feel and look good
  • Professional or aesthetic appearance
  • Customer service skills

  • Willing to learn and complete head spa certification (provided by employer)

Desired Skills (but Not Required):

  • Previous experience in a head spa, scalp treatment, or luxury spa environment
  • Experience using Boulevard booking system
  • Experience with blowouts and/or facials
  • Comfort educating clients on at-home scalp and hair care
  • Familiarity with premium haircare or skincare brands like Milbon or Davines

Responsibilities

  • Duties include massage, shampoo and conditioning hair and blow out
  • Some scheduling, client prep and hair styling may be required
  • Opportunity to build client list and exclusive access to advanced education on site
  • Prepare spa rooms by sanitizing surfaces and tools between clients
  • We expect all of our spa therapists to represent the aesthetic of our studio and keep our clients coming back!
  • Keep the spa clean by doing daily chores such as cleaning, sweeping, dusting, sanitizing and laundry wash and fold
  • Stock towels, products, and retail inventory
  • Provide other assistance as necessary
