Job description

Huntington Learning Center of Cherry Hill is seeking tutors capable of teaching our students (grades K-12) in reading, writing, phonics and math, study skills, and SAT/ACT Prep.
Note: Tutoring occurs in-person at our center in Marlton, NJ.
  • Are you a current or retired teacher looking for an additional paid way to be involved in the education field?
  • Are you a graduate student working on your Master's Degree in Education or a similar subject area?
  • Are you a substitute teacher looking for a part-time job?

Hours are flexible… you tell us when you are available, and we will pair you with student schedules.

There are no lesson plans, grading, or other work for you to do outside of the classroom. Our full-time staff handles parent interaction and curriculum, so all you do is teach students, typically on a one-to-one basis.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Teaching Certification is preferred, but we will consider other highly qualified candidates for some roles.

Schedule:
  • We teach students Mon - Thurs 3:30 pm - 8pm & Sat 9am-1pm. Our current greatest need is 4 - 6 pm weekdays. Summer hours are Mon-Sat 9-1 and Mon - Thurs 3:30-8.
  • This is a part-time position. Our tutors' weekly hours vary depending on their availability. 
  • Providing more availability will increase your chances of being selected for the position. 
  • Some tutors work as little as 3 hours per week and others as much as 25 or more hours per week.

Salary:
  • $20-22 per hour.
