Posting Summary
Rutgers School of Health Professions (SHP) is seeking a Student Assistant to work in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies and Practice.
Reporting to the Manager, Administrative Services, the Student Assistant will provide a wide range of administrative support to the Physician Assistants department faculty and staff. Additionally, the Student Assistant provides front desk and clerical support, assists with projects and special events, and provides administrative support to research projects.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
  • Responsible for maintaining a presence at the front desk, answering visitor and student questions, and providing a buffer between students and faculty.
  • Provides general clerical support to faculty and staff including filing, copying, and answering and forwarding calls.
  • Assists with departmental projects, preparing and disseminating documents, materials, and communications.
  • Provides research project support, including data entry, database maintenance, and other research related assignments.
  • Assists staff with coordination of department events, including decoration and setup, registration support, dissemination of materials and clean up.
