Residential Kitchen Assistant

(Full-time)

Located in Wickenburg, Arizona 

At Monte Nido Rosewood,  we understand the intricate medical, emotional, and psychological complications experienced by someone with an eating disorder. Using a holistic and multidisciplinary approach, we treat patients with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge eating disorders, as well as co-occurring addictions and disorders. Our well-established model of care, experienced multidisciplinary staff, and intimate warm setting make Rosewood uniquely qualified to effectively treat an eating disorder. Monte Nido Rosewood is one of the nation's leading eating disorder treatment programs for men, women and adolescents offering comprehensive treatment for all stages of recovery, from 24-hour inpatient monitoring to a variety of residential, transitional and outpatient programs.

The Kitchen Assistant's major responsibility is to assist with the preparation and serving of facility meals while maintaining high standards of safety and sanitation, washing and storing of all dishes, silverware, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils and also stocking and cleaning required areas.

Schedule: 11am-7:30 pm ; weekend schedule 

Pay range: $17-$21 per hour based on experience

Responsibilities Include:
  • Prepare and serve meals to patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Assist in planning and preparation of future meals.
  • Understand and use the approved dietary manual in food preparation and storage of leftovers.
  • Understand and use dish machine and three-compartment sink properly.
  • Communicate appropriately with patients, visitors, and staff.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to read, write, and follow directions.
  • High School Diploma, preferred not required.
  • Prior experience preferred; desire to learn portioning, preparing, and serving required.
  • Familiarity with Safety and Sanitation practices.
  • Must have CPR/BLS prior to starting work; we can arrange training if needed.
  • Must possess a current AZ DPS fingerprint card.
  • Must obtain and maintain an Arizona food handler's card within 30 days of hire.
