Responsibilities
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential function of this position is to provide nursing care to the residents of Stella Maris.
  • Implements the nursing process to identify residents/patients' needs, using the interdisciplinary team approach to supply appropriate interventions. Provides direct care to residents in accordance with facility standards and standards of nursing practice.
  • Monitors residents/patients' physical/mental status on an ongoing basis, responding to clinical changes and emergency situations. Provides clear, professional communication to staff, residents, medical practitioners and family members.
  • Answer resident call lights, serving as a role model for all members of the care team.
  • Maintain proper documentation in the patient health record to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Provide both physical and emotional support to patients by honoring the patient and family with compassion and care.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • RN OR LPN licensure in the State of Maryland
  • Current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Prior experience in Long Term Care preferred
