Summary

The registered nurse is responsible to implement the nursing process within Sanford Health and the continuum of care.

Job Description

The nursing process is utilized to assess, diagnose, establish a plan with outcome criteria, intervene, evaluate, and document human responses to actual or potential health problems. This practice includes dependent, interdependent and independent functions.

Qualifications

Must have graduated from an accredited school or college of nursing. Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
Specific services/positions may have additional education, training or experience requirements. Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had aminimum of 400 hours of experience as a RN (or LPN) at another facility.
Requires current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state, or states, of practice. Nurses performing nursing practice overthe telephone require licensure in the states where the patients being served reside. Certification may be required dependingon specialty or service area.
