Job description

Hourly Pay Range:
$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
  • Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October.

Position Highlights:
  • Position: Registered Nurse - Observation Unit
  • Location: Elmhurst Main Hospital
  • Part-Time: 24hrs a week
  • Hours: 7pm-7amwith every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays

What you will do:
The Staff Nurse will deliver safe and compassionate nursing care for all patient populations by planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care. The Staff Nurse will collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other members of the clinical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
What you will need:
Required Education, Licenses/Certifications, Skills and/or Experience:
  • Associate Degree or higher in Nursing,
    • If Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date (effective September 1, 2021)
    • Current incumbents with an RN Diploma are grandfathered OR
  • RN Diploma Nurse if position start date is prior to September 1, 2021
  • Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
  • Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Knowledge base of EKG interpretation
  • NIHSS Stroke Scale certification, required

Preferred Education, Skills and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Nursing
  • Surgical care experience (ortho and gen-surg), preferred
  • ACLS certification, preferred
  • 1 year of inpatient nursing experience is highly preferred
