What Role You Will Play In Our Team
  • Monitor and manage the risks associated with ExxonMobil's Natural Gas, Power, and LNG trading activities, with specific focus on North Americas Power trading
  • Provide risk analysis and oversight for both regional and global trading activities

What You Will Do
  • Build strong relationships with Commercial (Trading, Origination, Structuring) teams
  • Execute daily risk control processes to generate reports, including trade entries and data reconciliation, monitor and report Positions, Mark-To-Market (MTM) Values, P&L, and P&L Attribution
  • Analyze and validate Value at Risk (VaR) results ensuring adherence to established risk limits by commodity, region, program, book, and strategy
  • Provide insights / input to front office to identify, quantify, and manage market and operational risks, advise on the financial impacts and exposure changes related to proposed strategies, activities, and/or transactions
  • Present risk analysis insights to Senior management to inform business decisions

Skills and Qualifications
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for any employer
  • 5-10 (five to ten) years working experience in Market Risk in the following commodity trading areas: power (preferred), natural gas, LNG, renewables and/or environmental products
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with a keen focus on process execution
  • Deep market knowledge related to North America Gas, and Power market
  • Leadership skills, communication abilities, and presence in discussions with senior management
  • Solid understanding of statistical analysis techniques and comfort in modelling complex issues involving risk and uncertainty
  • Experience with the Microsoft suite of products: Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency with R, Python, SQL, VBA, Tableau, and/or Power BI
