This role involves preparing detailed plans and drawings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, leading and mentoring junior drafters, and ensuring the successful execution of projects.
Role accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and drafting team members to transform conceptual ideas into professional-grade technical plans.
  • Assist with design oversight, ensuring designs comply with project specifications and timelines.
  • Conduct quality control checks on plans and drawings to confirm completeness and accuracy prior to submission.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders throughout the design process.
  • Mentor junior drafters by guiding them in setting up design files and supporting them in successfully completing engineering design tasks.

Additionally, resourceful problem-solving abilities are necessary to effectively address design challenges and improve project outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or technical certificate in Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (CADD), Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
