Your responsibilities will include collaborating with staff to address health issues, managing student health records, and developing emergency preparedness responses. You will adhere to school policies while communicating vital health and safety information, and implementing strategies to enhance safety and accessibility across our facilities.Your role may also involve handling the accident report process, providing attention to ill or injured students, administering first aid, and ensuring compliance with medical authorizations. Join us in making a lasting impact on the health and safety of our vibrant Portland school!What we're looking for in a Health & Safety SubstituteTo excel as a Part-Time On-Call Health & Safety Substitute at The International School of Portland, you'll need a blend of compassion, resourcefulness, and strong communication skills. Your passion for our school's mission will drive your interactions with young children in Pre-K through 5th grade, ensuring their comfort when ill or injured. The ability to remain calm under pressure and accurately assess emergency situations is vital.As a collaborative team player, you will work seamlessly with co-workers while also demonstrating independence. Attention to detail is essential for managing health records and accident reports as needed.
