Job description

Spend your weekends staying active, working with great people and helping customers create homes they love. Join our Oak Brook team as a Part Time Retail & Warehouse Associate, in a hands-on role that combines working with our furniture and creating an exceptional customer experience.

This is an active role where you'll spend about 70% of your time handling and merchandising furniture and 30% helping customers.

Schedule: Saturdays & Sundays, 9:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m., with one weekend off each month.

Location: 2525 West 22nd Street, Oak Brook, IL 60523

You bring the following qualities to be a successful Part Time Retail & Warehouse Associate:

  • Stay active and work hands-on with our furniture. Spend most of your shift on your feet moving, lifting, wrapping, staging and arranging furniture and accessories throughout our 9,400-square-foot space.
  • Create a great customer experience. Welcome customers, answer product questions and help them find pieces they love for their homes while keeping our furniture organized, well-presented and ready to shop.
  • Work safely and as a team. Partner with your teammates to safely handle furniture, use appropriate equipment and keep our space running smoothly.
  • Embrace processes and accuracy. Bring attention to detail, curiosity and a willingness to learn our systems and processes while looking for ways to work efficiently.
  • Bring a great sense of camaraderie. Work collaboratively with your teammates, pitch in where needed and contribute to a welcoming experience for both customers and staff members

The qualifications and experiences you'll bring as a Part Time Retail & Warehouse Associate:

  • 2 or more years of experience in retail, customer service, warehouse, merchandising or another fast-paced environment.
  • Strength and stamina to regularly lift and move up to 75 pounds and safely handle heavier furniture with a teammate and/or appropriate equipment.
  • Comfort spending most of your shift standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting and moving furniture.
  • An understanding of safe working practices and the importance of safely and efficiently handling furniture.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Ability to provide proof of identity and legal work authorization upon hire.
