Job description

We are seeking a Restaurant Server Lead to become an integral part of our team! You will not only be a part of the server team, but will be involved in helping the shifts run smoothly from start to finish! Training of new part-time servers can also be a part of this position for the right person.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve food and beverages to guests
  • Help to manage table reservations and the wait list
  • Supervise staff for the entire shift - making sure side work and closing duties get done
  • Be available to answer questions from fellow servers
  • Explain to guests about menu items and ingredients
  • Clean and prepare the dining areas and all service areas
  • Greet and make all guests feel welcome at the restaurant
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely fashion
  • Perform other restaurant duties as assigned
  • Help to trouble shoot when things need that extra bit of attention

​Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Shift Lead in Full Service Dine-In Restaurant
  • Ability to build positive relationships with co-workers, owners and guests
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Ability to anticipate needs of the restaurant and guests
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a required
  • Must be organized and able to multi-task

Other:

  • Legacy shift leaders start at a minimum of $7.25/hour plus tips, which can be very generous. After a 30-90 day training program, shift leaders will earn $9-$10 per hour, plus tips. Our servers work in a team environment and support each other. A shared tip pool is used and distributed at the end of each shift. Shift leader training involves the basics of being a server, plus the learning the responsiblilities of leading a team.

Legacy Pizza & Bakery is a full service dine-in and curbside pickup restaurant established in 2020. We are a also bread bakery that provides products to several local restaurants. Everything is made from scratch with great emphasis on preservative free bread, fresh and local produce when available, and a high quality experience for dine in or take out.
