Project Manager – Facilities & Service Operations
Location: Long Island / NYC Metro Area (Remotely Managed Projects Nationwide)

Position Overview

MJZ NY Inc. is seeking a disciplined and detail-oriented Project Manager to perform facilities maintenance, execute service calls, and small-to-mid scale projects across our client portfolio. This role is responsible for managing high-volume service requests, coordinating vendors, and ensuring rapid, reliable execution in active environments.
This position requires the ability to manage Service requests and projects both locally and across multiple states, supporting clients wherever service is required, often in time-sensitive conditions.
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily incoming service calls and maintenance requests from initial request through completion.
  • Dispatch, coordinate, oversee and manage vendors and subcontractors across multiple locations.
  • Manage service operations nationwide, supporting client sites in multiple states.
  • Direct vendors remotely while maintaining full visibility on scope, progress, and completion.  Secure detailed vendor service reports and incorporate all relevant information into MJZ customer-facing service reports. 
  • Prioritize and triage incoming requests based on urgency, operational impact, and client needs.
  • Ensure timely response, scheduling, and resolution of service issues.
  • Review scopes of work, pricing, and proposals for accuracy and alignment with MJZ standards and whenever possible, negotiate to achieve maximum company profit margins.
  • Conduct site visits as needed for critical issues, escalations, or client coordination.
  • Track all service activity, costs, and outcomes across multiple clients and locations.
  • Maintain documentation including work orders, service reports, photos, and closeout records.
  • Communicate consistently with clients, providing updates, timelines, and resolution details.
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend preventative maintenance or long-term solutions.
Core Expectation (Critical to Success)

  • Develop a strong understanding of MJZ’s service delivery model, response expectations, and client standards.
  • Operate with urgency and control in a high-volume, fast-paced service environment.
  • Manage out-of-state service work with the same level of accountability and responsiveness as local operations.
  • Coordinate and direct vendors remotely while maintaining quality, cost control, and schedule adherence.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with clients, especially during active issues or downtime events.
  • Represent MJZ’s client-first approach by adapting to each customer’s operational requirements.
  • Take ownership of problems through resolution—no handoffs without accountability.
Qualifications

  • 3–7 years of experience in facilities management, service operations, or maintenance project management.
  • Strong understanding of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, equipment).
  • Experience dispatching and managing vendors across multiple locations.
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume service calls in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing remote projects or multi-state service operations.
