The terms are often used interchangeably, with 'Pediatric Nurse' being a more general title. The main difference is in terminology preference; both roles involve similar responsibilities and work environments.

Can a pediatric nurse work from home?

Pediatric RNs can sometimes work remotely in roles such as telehealth nursing, case management, or patient education, which involve phone or online communication rather than direct patient care. These positions typically require strong communication skills, relevant certifications, and experience in pediatric nursing. However, many clinical tasks still require in-person presence at healthcare facilities or clinics.

How to make an extra 2000 a month as a nurse?

A part-time remote pediatric RN can increase income by taking on additional shifts, offering telehealth consultations, or providing specialized services such as patient education. Developing in-demand skills, obtaining relevant certifications, and leveraging flexible scheduling can help reach the extra income goal efficiently.

How to make $300,000 as a nurse online?

A part-time remote pediatric RN can increase earnings by offering telehealth consultations, providing specialized nursing education, or creating digital health content. Building a strong reputation, obtaining relevant certifications, and leveraging telehealth platforms can help maximize income potential, though reaching $300,000 annually part-time is challenging and typically requires multiple income streams or full-time commitment.

What is the highest paid remote nursing job?

The highest paid remote nursing jobs typically include advanced practice roles such as Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Anesthetists, and Clinical Nurse Specialists, with Nurse Anesthetists often earning the highest salaries. These positions require specialized certifications and offer remote work options, especially in telehealth and case management settings. Salaries can vary based on experience, location, and employer, but these roles generally command top compensation in remote nursing careers.

Job description

Outpatient Mental Health Therapist (child, family, adult):
Part-time to Full-time (in office and remote; hybrid position)
Are you ready to make a career move that is exciting, challenging, and rewarding? We have that opportunity if you are licensed in the state of Virginia as an LPC or LCSW and have a desire to work with children and families! Strong preference for Registered Play Therapists or those with training in play therapy.
MySpectrum is offering outpatient counseling and coaching to children and adults, focusing on the Autism Spectrum, Substance Abuse Spectrum, Mental Health Spectrum, and Whole Life Spectrum. We are recruiting for an LPC or LCSW Therapist who specializes in play therapy, child therapy, and family therapy (with opportunity to balance the caseload with adult clients as well) in an outpatient setting with a particular focus on children and adolescents. If you find yourself to be an out-of-the-box thinker and relationship-driven Therapist, this may be a good fit for you. We are seeking a Therapist who enjoys their work, likes to have fun, and is passionate about offering the most creative and innovative ways to treat clients. We want to serve clients who haven't otherwise been able to find the right fit for therapy, who don't fit the mold of other practices who have more narrow focuses, and most of all, want to reduce the stigma associated with receiving therapy. If you have a special niche, and are wanting to find a place where you can build an established client base in an outpatient setting, MySpectrum will create a home for you. **Instead of worrying about building your own private practice, we will do that for you while offering a team setting for clinical collaboration.**
Some of the aspects of being in private practice that we will take care of for you at MySpectrum include:
  • Credentialing with insurance carriers
  • Billing (you get paid on a bi-weekly basis regardless of if we do)
  • Office space in a renovated building in North Chesterfield
  • Marketing
  • Use of an electronic health record for documentation of sessions
  • Therapy tools (books, toys, etc.,)
  • Paid training
  • Collaboration with other clinical professionals
  • Flexible Schedule; option to work hybrid (both in office and remote) with administrative support throughout the week

Job Summary:
The Outpatient Therapist will provide outpatient therapy in an office and virtual setting. The standard caseload for full-time Therapists will be approximately 30 client sessions per week. We recognize that it may take time to build a solid caseload and are willing to work with you on a part-time basis until you become full-time. Since the primary responsibility will be to provide clinical services to clients, MySpectrum will seek to offer the most effective tools to do so. We have completely renovated the office space, and offer a play/art room, room for groups, and administrative support.
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Provide Outpatient Therapy in standard 50-60 minute blocks
  • Complete Assessments
  • Complete Treatment Plans
  • Complete Progress Notes
  • Provide input about the best strategies, techniques, and services to offer to help as many people as possible
  • Be an integral part of the growth and development of MySpectrum!

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Must be licensed as an LPC or LCSW in the state of Virginia, and eligible for credentialing with major insurance panels
  • Experience with play therapy, family therapy, and child therapy practices, models, and methods of treatment
  • Experience working with diverse populations

Benefits and Perks:
  • The office hours available for you to create your schedule are 8:00am-8:00pm Monday-Thursday and 8:00am-7:00pm on Fridays. Flexibility to work within these hours as you choose in order to fulfill your client / session hours. Teletherapy can be provided any day or time from your home or remote location.
  • Employer paid training
  • Competitive compensation based on a 60/40 split (bi-weekly pay based on sessions conducted, not on what we have collected from insurance; you receive 60% of what we bill insurance regardless of if we get paid)
  • Health insurance available if you average 30 or more billable sessions per week: medical, dental, vision (with employer and employee contribution), life insurance, critical illness insurance, cancer insurance, and short-term disability insurance
  • Retirement planning with up to 3% company match
  • Casual environment that promotes fun and creativity
  • An outpatient practice where you don't have to worry about the business aspects! Just be a Therapist!
