Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Licensure & Enrollment Coordinator to manage the end-to-end state licensure process for medical providers and licensed behavioral health professionals across multiple states. This hands-on position will independently manage applications, renewals, documentation, licensing board communication, and regulatory requirements while supporting expansion into additional states. During lower-volume licensure periods, the Coordinator will also assist with payor enrollment and credentialing activities.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the complete state licensure lifecycle from initial application through renewal for MDs, DOs, NPs/APRNs, LICSWs, LCSWs, LPCs, LMFTs, and equivalent licensed professionals
  • Gather, organize, and submit required documentation, including education verifications, background checks, DEA registrations, and state board requirements
  • Serve as the primary liaison with state licensing boards, proactively track application statuses, and resolve outstanding requirements
  • Maintain accurate licensure records and monitor upcoming renewals and expiration dates
  • Research and document licensing requirements for new states and develop process guides for new jurisdictions
  • Monitor changes to state licensing laws and board requirements across active states
  • Support payor enrollment, credentialing applications, re-attestations, updates, and health plan follow-up during lower-volume periods
  • Partner with Clinical Operations and People teams to coordinate provider onboarding timelines and prevent licensure delays
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience managing state licensure for healthcare providers, preferably in a multi-state environment
  • Experience with both medical provider licensure (MD, DO, NP/APRN) and behavioral health/therapy licensure (LICSW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalents)
  • Familiarity with licensing requirements in one or more active or expansion states, including MA, CT, TX, IL, NJ, KY, IN, PA, and VA
  • Demonstrated ability to independently research and learn state-specific licensing processes for new jurisdictions
  • Experience with payor enrollment and credentialing processes preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple providers, applications, and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with clinicians, licensing boards, and internal teams
  • Ability to independently manage complex, multi-step processes with minimal oversight
  • Familiarity with credentialing software or EHR systems; Healthie experience is a plus
  • Comfortable working remotely and independently while remaining connected to team priorities
