A pharmacy in New Jersey is seeking a Remote Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) with active and unrestricted licenses in both New Jersey and California. This part-time position offers approximately 24 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with no on-call responsibilities. The role is a contract lasting 8-12 weeks, with the potential for long-term or ongoing engagement.
Location: Remote position supporting a New Jersey facility
Responsibilities:
- Oversee compliance related to sterile and hazardous drug compounding.
- Support staff development, including training and performance management of pharmacists and technicians.
- Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws, Board of Pharmacy rules, and DEA regulations.
- Manage and supervise a team comprising 4 pharmacists, 7 technicians, a Director of Pharmacy, and a Pharmacy Coordinator.
- Review and approve patient care plans to confirm treatment appropriateness, dosing accuracy, and medication compatibility.
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted pharmacist licenses for both New Jersey and California.
- Previous experience serving as a Pharmacist in Charge or in a management role is preferred.
- Knowledge or experience in sterile medication verification is an advantage but not required.
- Strong leadership and regulatory compliance expertise.
