Job description

Position Overview
The Registered Dietitian delivers nutrition therapy to clients in intensive programming by performing nutrition assessments, creating personalized care plans, monitoring ongoing medical and nutritional conditions, and tracking client progress. Additionally, the dietitian provides nutrition education to enhance clients' nutritional health and their relationship with food.
The Registered Dietitian collaborates closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop case conceptualizations and deliver coordinated eating disorder care to clients and their families or support communities.
Compensation Range:
Registered Dietitian: $32.00 - $35.00
Final compensation offered will be within pay range based on qualifications/experience met for position. Should your position change, pay will be evaluated.

  • Provide guidance and coaching during individual client and family meals when clinically indicated, promoting healthy eating behaviors, and addressing disordered eating patterns.

  • Document all nutrition care clearly, concisely, and professionally in the EHR, adhering to policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Actively engage in treatment team discussions by sharing client assessments, family dynamics, and responses to interventions.
  • Contribute to holistic and integrative treatment planning through multidisciplinary case conceptualization.
  • Promote effective communication and collaboration within the multidisciplinary team to enhance client care and treatment outcomes.
  • Work closely with external professionals and community agencies to ensure seamless transitions and continuity of care for client's post-discharge.
  • Participate in both administrative and clinical supervision sessions, proactively seeking guidance and feedback to improve professional practice.
  • Engage in self-evaluation processes, actively seeking feedback from clients, peers, and colleagues to continually refine therapeutic practice.
  • Contribute to case consultation meetings by offering insights and receiving feedback to improve treatment approaches.

  • Ensure that all clinical records are accurate, comprehensive, and compliant with organizational policies and regulatory standards.

  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in eating disorder assessment and treatment by engaging in professional development, training, and reviewing current academic literature.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all client and employee information in compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as organizational policies.
  • Safeguard proprietary company information, including trade secrets and other sensitive data, ensuring it is not disclosed to unauthorized individuals.
  • Complete all mandatory training requirements to ensure compliance and maintain professional competence.
  • Regularly attend scheduled meetings to stay informed and contribute to the organization's goals.
  • Drive clients, staff, and supplies using the company vehicle when necessary, ensuring adherence to safety and transportation protocols.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to supporting the team's mission.

Education / License Qualifications:
  • Current Registered Dietitian license in the state of employment required.
  • Current board certification with the Commission on Dietetic Registration required
  • Master's Degree required, unless licensed prior to January 2024.

Professional Qualifications:
  • DBT, CBT, FBT experience preferred.
  • Eating Disorders treatment experience preferred
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Other Qualifications:
  • Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites must have a valid driver's license and be authorized to drive.
  • Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites are required to have a current Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites are required to have a current First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites in North Carolina or Georgia are required to have a current CPI certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Employees at Residential site in Washington are required to have a Washington State Department of Health Food Handler permit within 30 days of hire.
  • ServSafe Food Handler certification required within 30 days of hire
