Job description

Front Desk Receptionist/Administrator
Location: Reston, VA

  • Mon: 10am-5pm (occasionally Chantilly, if needed)
  • Wed – Thu: 10am-4pm
  • Fri: 10am-5pm (occasionally Chantilly, if needed)


MUST live within 20 minutes of Chantilly/Reston
Compensation: $18/h
Work Model: Onsite – onsite

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests and greet visitors at the company, serving as the first point of contact.
  • Coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls.
  • Perform daily walk-throughs to ensure cleanliness of lobby and common areas, including kitchens.
  • Greet and direct visitors such as vendors, clients, job candidates, and customers.
  • Sign for packages and accept mail, coordinating pick-up and delivery of express services (FedEx/UPS).
  • Monitor inventory and stock supplies for the office and break room.
  • Maintain conference room calendars, resolving scheduling conflicts.
  • Handle administrative support activities including answering calls and filing.
  • Assist with copying, collating, and preparing presentations and handouts.
  • Coordinate meetings and set-ups, including food ordering as needed.
  • Manage special administrative projects from Accounting, HR, Security, and other departments.

Requirements

  • One year of administrative experience.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Good judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to change.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
