What is a part time realtor?

A Part Time Realtor is a licensed real estate professional who works in the real estate industry on a part-time basis, rather than full-time. They assist clients in buying, selling, or renting properties, but typically handle fewer transactions than full-time Realtors due to their limited hours. Part Time Realtors often have other jobs or responsibilities and may work evenings and weekends to accommodate clients' needs. This role offers flexibility but requires strong time management and excellent customer service skills.

How do part time realtors balance their real estate duties with other commitments?

Part-time Realtors often juggle real estate responsibilities with other work or personal commitments, making time management crucial. They typically focus on flexible tasks such as client consultations, property showings during evenings or weekends, and digital marketing. Effective communication and setting clear expectations with clients helps ensure smooth transactions despite a varied schedule. Many part-time Realtors leverage technology and collaborate with full-time colleagues or teams to handle urgent matters and provide consistent service.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part time realtor?

To thrive as a Part Time Realtor, you need a real estate license, knowledge of local property markets, and strong sales abilities. Familiarity with Multiple Listing Service (MLS) systems, customer relationship management (CRM) tools, and digital marketing platforms is important. Exceptional communication, negotiation skills, and self-motivation help you build client relationships and manage a flexible schedule. These skills and qualities ensure you can effectively serve clients and close deals, even with part-time availability.

Is it worth it to be a part time realtor?

Part time realtors can earn income through commissions on property sales while maintaining other employment or commitments. Success depends on market conditions, networking skills, and time invested, but it often offers flexibility and supplemental income rather than full financial stability.

Job description

Let me be upfront. This isn't a job with a paycheck every two weeks. It's real estate. You're an independent contractor, you earn commission, and how much you make depends on how much you put in. If that scares you off, no hard feelings.

If it doesn't, keep reading.

I've been selling homes in Greater Pittsburgh since 2005. Over $519 million closed, more than 1,355 transactions, top 1% of Berkshire Hathaway teams nationwide. I've watched a lot of good people wash out of this business, and it's almost never because they couldn't do it. It's because nobody handed them a system and showed them how to use it.

That's what my team does differently.

Here's who I'm looking for:

Maybe you've never sold a house in your life. You've been in sales, nursing, teaching, the military, corporate, customer service, whatever. You're good with people and you've thought about real estate more than once, but you never knew where to start. I'll show you the whole path, from the licensing course to your first closing.

Maybe you're already licensed and stuck. You're at a brokerage where you got a desk, a business card, and a "good luck." You're paying for your own marketing, chasing your own leads, doing your own paperwork, and wondering why the top agents make it look easy. It's because they have help. So will you.

Maybe you've been home with kids, or caring for a parent, or just out of the workforce for a while, and you want a way back in that fits your life instead of a 9 to 5 that doesn't.

Or maybe you just want to try this part-time and see if it's for you. That's a legitimate way to start. Plenty of great agents began that way. I did!

What you get on my team:

Real opportunities: sign calls, buyer inquiries, open houses, referrals, and leads from a team that markets all over Greater Pittsburgh

A marketing team that handles your social media, listing materials, and presentations

A business manager and a listing manager who take the paperwork off your plate

A written training playbook and real training, not a webinar you watch alone

Senior agents who've done hundreds of deals sitting next to you on your first ones

The Berkshire Hathaway name and a team with a 20-year reputation in this market

What I expect from you:

You're honest, you show up, and you do what you say you'll do

You can give this 20 to 30 hours a week, on your own schedule

You'll actually use the systems instead of freelancing

You have a car, a phone, and an EXCEPTIONAL attitude

You either have a Pennsylvania real estate license or you're willing to get one. The coursework and exam take about 60 to 90 days. The course cost is yours, but I'll point you to the right school and walk you through every step.

Money: Commission only, 1099. We'll go over the split and how the team works when we talk. There's no ceiling.

If you want to be in real estate but you don't want to figure it out alone, send me a note. Tell me a little about yourself and why now. That's it.

Company Description

Pierre Khoury Real Estate Team | Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices The Preferred Realty

We're a top 1% Berkshire Hathaway team serving all of Greater Pittsburgh. Team leader Pierre Khoury has been licensed since 2005 and has closed over $519 million across more than 1,355 transactions, earning Chairman's Circle Diamond status 16 years in a row.

We're not a brokerage that hands you a license and hopes for the best. We're a team. That means a business manager, a listing manager, an in-house marketing department, a written training playbook, and senior agents who mentor newer ones through their first deals. Agents here get leads, support, and a system that already works, so they can spend their time with clients instead of figuring everything out alone.

Whether you're brand new, coming back to work, or already licensed and ready for something better, we'll show you how it's done.
