What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Part Time Real Estate position, and why are they important?

To thrive in a Part Time Real Estate role, you need a solid understanding of property market trends, effective sales techniques, and a valid real estate license recognized in your state. Familiarity with real estate CRM software, multiple listing services (MLS), and digital marketing platforms is typically required. Exceptional interpersonal skills, time management, and proactive networking abilities help candidates stand out in this position. These skills are crucial for successfully attracting clients, managing transactions efficiently, and balancing flexible hours with meeting sales goals.

What do part-time real estate agents make?

On average, they may make a few thousand dollars per transaction, but income is often inconsistent and depends on their effort and client base.

Can I be successful as a part-time real estate agent?

Part-time real estate agents can achieve success by leveraging strong sales skills, effective time management, and local market knowledge. How much would a real estate agent make on a $300,000 house?

A real estate agent typically earns a commission of about 5-6% of the home's sale price, so on a $300,000 house, they would earn approximately $15,000 to $18,000. This commission is usually split with the brokerage and may be shared with the buyer's agent, so the agent's actual earnings can vary based on their agreement and sales volume.
