Real Estate Instructor / Real Estate Appraiser Instructor (Continuous Adjunct Pool)
Position Description
POSITION SUMMARY:This is a POOL position. Application materials for this part-time position are accepted on an on-going basis. As openings for temporary, part-time real estate and real estate appraisal instructors become available, candidates may be selected from this pool of applicants
Required Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
-Demonstrated understanding of, sensitivity to, and respect for the diverse academic, socioeconomic, ethnic, religious, cultural background, disability, and sexual orientation of community college students, faculty, and staff.
AND
Any bachelor's degree and two years of full-time related professional experience;
OR
Any associate degree, and six years of full-time related professional experience. Professional experience is required when the applicant possesses a master's degree. The professional experience required must be directly related to the faculty member's teaching assignment.
Preferred Qualifications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Possession of a valid real estate license.
Additional preferred qualifications to teach real estate appraisal classes:
Hold a bachelor's degree, or higher, in a field related to real estate appraising from a school listed as an institution of higher learning by the U.S. Office of Education, or from a comparable school of a foreign country;
and
Five years of full-time experience in the field being taught;
OR
A combination of full-time experience and full-time college-level teaching experience, totaling at least five years.
