This position is based at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center in Norwood, MA. The property is owned by Hobbs Brook Real Estate LLC, the real estate division of FM, offering a dynamic hospitality environment with strong organizational support.
The Four Points by Sheraton Norwood Hotel & Conference Center features 230 modern, smoke-free guestrooms, including allergy-friendly options, along with complimentary Wi-Fi, parking, and access to the fitness center and indoor pool. With 28 meeting rooms and 40,000 square feet of event space, the hotel is well-suited for meetings and conferences of all sizes, and the Tiffany Ballroom to cater for social events. As a Host at One Bistro, you'll be the face of the guest experience and the first impression that sets the tone for an exceptional visit. Located inside the award-winning Four Points by Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center in Norwood, MA, One Bistro is known for delivering outstanding hospitality in a welcoming, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment.
In this role, you'll warmly greet guests, create memorable first impressions, manage seating arrangements, and help ensure smooth restaurant operations. You'll engage with guests to understand their dining needs, coordinate table flow, and work closely with the restaurant team to provide attentive, seamless service. Beyond the host stand, you'll assist with guest inquiries, reservations, opening and closing duties, and support daily operations through tasks such as stocking, organizing, and maintaining a clean, inviting atmosphere.

Responsibilities
  • Welcoming and seating guests- making sure to have polite conversation when seating
  • Answer phones with proper greeting
  • Taking and maintaining reservations and the guest information database on the Open Table reservation system
  • Taking to go & room service orders
  • Cleaning and maintaining all menus
  • Updating specials on our website, typing and printing special sheets
  • Be able to remain focused and on task during busy hours.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role within a fast-paced restaurant, hospitality, or food service environment required
  • Must be comfortable using Open Table, Word and WordPress for updating specials
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
  • Able to work with calm urgency in a fast-paced environment

Education

The hiring range for this position is $16.50 per hour.
The final salary offer will vary based on geographic location, individual education, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for Marriott employee discounts at participating hotels with successful completion of ongoing training.
