Job Summary
As an Air Logistics Ramp Associate you will contribute to the timely delivery of Express packages by loading and unloading of air freight containers, moving these containers from airplane to truck for on-time delivery to our customers at our airport location. This job is a cross-dock operation; your role is to move Express packages from aircraft to warehouse to trucks with no/minimal storage. As part of your daily task as a Ramp Agent, you will be required to fuel, maintain, and conduct daily inspections on the Ramp equipment used for loading and unloading the aircraft. Our indoor facility is an open-air environment and not temperature controlled, and you may work in or around aircraft. We perform at the highest level for our customers every day and strive to be an exceptional leader in our industry with our teams of warehouse and air logistic experts across our Express locations. Responsibilities
  • Transport, load and unload air freight containers from aircraft within confined areas.
  • Push, pull and position loaded air freight containers weighing up to 3,200 lbs.
  • Read "off-load" sheets to determine destination of Express packages.
  • Operating ramp equipment with gross weights of 3,000 to 80,000 lbs. in areas congested with aircraft, moving and stationary vehicles and equipment as well as positioning vehicle up to aircraft.
  • Conduct regular inspection and preventative maintenance on Ground Support Equipment, including but not limited to k-loaders, tow tractors, pushback tractors, portable power units, and forklifts.
  • Fuel and maintain the Ground Support Equipment fluids.
  • Troubleshoot the Ground Support Equipment prior to each upload and offload operation.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Use Dossier platform to regularly update the Ground Support Equipment status, submit for work orders, and record any maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate with the local Management team to ensure smooth utilization of the equipment.
  • Ability to understand and react to verbal commands and safety warnings, with and without, assistance of sight or visual aids.

Minimum Requirements
  • Valid Driver's license.
  • 1 year forklift experience.
  • 18 years and older.
  • High School Diploma or GED or international equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write and understand the English language.
  • Must be able to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), holidays, and days off. We have a Peak Season that may require longer hours.

Preferred Skills
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends (i.e., Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays, and days off.
  • Ability to judge distances.
  • Ability to successfully communicate with others.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, multiple times a day.
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures, rain, wind and snow.
  • Ability to stand for an entire shift and move long distances across our facilities by foot.
