Compensation: $25.00 - $28.00 / hour
Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our growing dental team at Timber Dental in Sherwood. This role is ideal for an experienced clinical professional who is confident performing expanded duties, supporting the dentist, and contributing to a high-quality patient experience. The EFDA plays a critical role in both clinical efficiency and patient care, helping ensure procedures are completed accurately, safely, and comfortably.

Wednesdays and Thursdays
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all Expanded Functions Dental Assistant duties in accordance with state regulations
  • Place, contour, and adjust restorations as delegated by the dentist
  • Assist the dentist during a variety of procedures
  • Prepare and break down treatment rooms, ensuring proper sterilization and infection control protocols
  • Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays)
  • Take impressions and assist with temporary crowns and restorations
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and charting
  • Educate patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene instructions
  • Ensure a smooth and efficient patient flow throughout the day
  • Maintain inventory and ensure proper stocking of clinical supplies
  • Collaborate effectively with the clinical and administrative team

  • Active EFDA or EFPDA license in Oregon (required)
