Job description

The Radiology Technologist performs timely, high quality diagnostic imaging procedures to assist surgeons in diagnosing and treating patients. Responsible for the performance of radiological exams, radiology records and equipment maintenance. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Performs diagnostic radiographs for procedures and exams.
  2. Maintains equipment to include cleaning, inspecting and reporting any malfunctions. Maintains, tracks, and confirms that all radiation regulated standards are met. Coordinates activities with the Radiation Safety Officer.
  3. Responsible for accurately inputting data into the computer system and entering patient charges into the electronic health records (EHR) database.
  4. Restocks and sets up fluoroscopy rooms for the next day.
  5. Assists with transport of patients, including to and from the fluoroscopy room or exam table as needed.
  6. Ensures radiology supplies are properly stocked and replenished, and orders additional supplies as needed.
  • Education & Training:
    • High School diploma or equivalent required
    • Associate’s degree preferred
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
    • Experience with employee health record (EHR) databases
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration:
    • ARRT (R) certification required
      GMRT certification required
      BLS certification required
    • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license as employees may occasionally be required to operate a company vehicle. Reasonable accommodations may be provided as required by law.
  • Key Skills:
    • Ability to operate an X-ray and fluoroscope equipment as needed.
    • Computer literate and the ability to learn new software, as needed.
    • Good communication, organizational, interpersonal, time management and customer service skills required.
