Radiology Technologist Assistant - Radiation Oncology - Springfield Cancer Center
Job Summary:
The Radiology Tech Assistant supports the needs of the Radiology team with the use of the Radiology Information System, basic computer skills, and excellent communication skills.
Essential Functions:
  • Organizes rooms, stocks linen, changes and properly removes linen.
  • Uses two patient identifiers prior to transporting patients to and from Radiology that are not requiring patient monitor or high flow oxygen.
  • Properly operates stretchers, patient beds, and wheelchairs.
  • Reviews daily department schedules in order to work efficiently with the Radiologic team members.
  • Maintains office and medical supplies in all Imaging areas and informs team leader when supplies need to be ordered.
  • Other duties as assigned that are deemed necessary for department operations.

Education:
High School Diploma or GED (required)
Required Licensing & Certifications:
BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care) (required)
Experience:
1 year of patient care experience (preferred)
Experience with Radiology Information System (preferred)
Training:
EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) (preferred)
Picture archiving communication system (PACS) (preferred)
