Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using radiographic equipment while following safety and imaging protocols
Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients to explain exams and procedures
Verify patient identity, orders, and relevant clinical history
Operate imaging equipment and adjust technical settings to ensure high-quality images
Accurately document and transmit images through PACS systems
Collaborate with radiologists, providers, and care teams
Contribute to a team-based environment while also working independently


Qualifications

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiography program (certificate or diploma required)
  • Associate's Degree in Radiography preferred

Licensure & Certification

  • Current Radiologic Technologist license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start) required
  • ARRT (R.T.) certification preferred or eligible


Experience
No prior experience required - new grads welcome!
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must effectively use interpersonal skills to deal with patients and fellow employees who may be under physical and/or emotional stress. Maintains composure at all times.
- Excellent attention to detail, written, and communication skills; must be able to read and write in English.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, principles of radiation physics, ALARA, radiographic equipment and positioning.
- Must be physically capable of lifting a minimum of 40 lbs (i.e., linen, supplies, patients).
- Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to emergency and infection control situations.
- Displays a positive attitude and professional appearance; exemplifies flexibility and willingness to adapt to the operational needs of the department and MGB.
- Board eligible through the American Board of Radiology.
