The Radiologic Technologist role is an opportunity for an x-ray tech to apply their skills in a pediatric urgent care setting and assist with primary patient care based on individual patient needs within their scope of practice under the physician's direct supervision. This position maintains effective working relationships with all customers, including patients/families, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors.DescriptionJob Responsibilities:- Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations
- Obtain medical history, patient vital signs, and intake
- Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety
- Obtain quality diagnostic radiographs as requested by physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants
- Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Maintain and document daily quality control of radiology equipment at the start of shift
- Document repeat exposures and parent holding log with pocket dosimeter read
- Assist in radiology quality assurance program for radiography equipment
