Our customer-centric solutions include Renewable Chemicals, Fluid Separation for Metalworking and Manufacturing, Industrial Fluid Control, Plant Process Optimization, Corn Oil Extraction, and Oil Flow Optimization.

Trucent Renewable Chemicals, a division of Trucent, is looking for a Part-Time Lab Technician to join our team at our Renewable Chemical production facility in Van Wert, OH. This position would directly assist our Lab Technician.

We are ready to act immediately on those candidates who are the best fit for the role. You will first hear from someone in Talent Acquisition and then the next step will be a personal interview with our Hiring Manager.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Safely operate laboratory equipment and instruments.
  • Maintain database of production samples.
  • Perform wet chemistry techniques, physical testing, and QC testing on a variety of industrial samples utilizing established lab protocol and system.
  • Complete Certificate of Analysis documents on finished products.
  • Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel to write reports and analyze data.
  • Properly dispose of chemicals and laboratory waste.
  • Communicate regularly with team members and group leaders regarding sample data.
  • Comply with all aspects of laboratory safety and the Trucent safety program, including but not limited to hazard communication, PPE requirements, and safety training.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics.

Position Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree with a background in Chemistry is a plus.

Experience:

Requires a minimum of 1-year laboratory experience performing wet chemistry techniques to gain sufficient skill to perform the requirements of the position.

Skills and Abilities: which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly, associated with this position:

  • Ability to carry out instructions given in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Perform the basic functions of arithmetic and algebra; add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measurement; compute ratio, rate and percent; calculate variables and formulas.
  • Perform basic written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable in use of laboratory instruments.
  • Basic computer & software skills.
  • Requires a well-organized individual with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
