General Function
Assists with LabsConnect Data Center hardware installation and maintenance to support remote learning.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Install and connect Data Center equipment to include Network, Server, UPS, and Power Distribution Units
2. Configures Network Devices, Power Distribution Units, and Servers as required during approved changes
3. Inventories Devices and assists in updating Network Documentation
4. Configures Hypervisors, Virtual Machines, Applications to support Student Pods for Remote Learning
5. Assist with adding automation using Artificial Intelligence and Scripts to improve Data Center efficiency
6. Performing Data Backups, and testing Disaster Recovery of Critical Infrastructure under the supervision of Lab Facilitators
7. Provides Tier I repairs during incidents that require non-emergency maintenance under the supervision of Lab Facilitators
8. Assists with Tier II repairs and maintenance under the supervision of Lab Facilitators
9. Performs Cybersecurity Vulnerability Remediation under the supervision of Lab Facilitators
10. Performs Scheduled Operating Systems and Firmware Updates to Critical Infrastructure and Devices
11. Provides system status and health reports to Lab Facilitators
12. Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements and Preferred Qualifications
• HS School Diploma or GED, and a current Student in the Associate in Applied Science Information Technology (IT) Programs, or a current Student in the Associate in Applied Science Artificial Intelligence (AI) Program, must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA
• Requires completion of the C25590C3 Certificate, or the completion of the first semester of AI or IT programs
• Requires knowledge of Artificial Intelligence
• Requires knowledge of Cloud Computing
• Requires knowledge of Networking and Cybersecurity
• Requires knowledge of the Python Programming Language
Preferred Qualifications:
• Advanced Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence
• Advanced Knowledge of Cloud Computing Technologies
• Advanced Knowledge of Networking and Cybersecurity
• Knowledge of or Advanced Knowledge of Scripting using Bash, PowerShell or both
• Advanced Knowledge of Python
• CompTIA A+, Network+ and or Security+ Certifications
• Cisco CCNA Certification
• Azure Fundamentals Certification or CompTIA Cloud + Certification
• Other advanced Cloud, Cybersecurity, Networking, or Virtualization Certifications
