Job description

Essential Job Functions:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Development and implementation of promotions and events, slot tournaments and monthly promotional strategies.
  • Partners with the Marketing Manager to develop strategies and programs to achieve promotional awareness and acquisition.
  • Responsible for emceeing at promotions and events.
  • Assists all on and off-site marketing programs, promotions and special events for increasing casino revenues.
  • Responsible for tracking and analysis of programs to ensure guests receive extraordinary guest service, operations run smoothly and strategic goals and objectives are met and exceeded.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day planning and implementing of all promotions and special event efforts.
  • Ensures that all guests are treated in a prompt, professional and courteous manner.
  • Assists in arranging all entertainment for special events and promotions.
  • Handles any Guest and Team Member questions, complaints or problems in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Consistently demonstrates superior customer service skills.
  • Conveys positive energy and enthusiasm focusing on the guest interaction.
  • Continuously improves service by assessing service problems using player feedback or data.
  • Keeps the Team well informed of property promotions and events and is present and visible at events.
  • Coordinates with all necessary internal departments, including IT, Banquets, etc. for set-ups for promotions and events.
  • Facilitates the timely flow of information throughout the property to Guests and Team Members of upcoming events and promotions through the use of notice boards, flyers, posters and other multimedia devices.
  • Assist in the cross training of Rush Rewards and Player Development teams as necessary to assist with promotions and special events.
  • Maintain and uphold Standard Operating Procedures as necessary for the successful implementation and execution of promotions and special events.
  • Adhere to strict Compliance and regulatory policies.
  • Maintains an ongoing schedule of promotions as outlined in the property Marketing Plan.
  • Complete reports, database, and correspondence in a timely manner in order to meet deadlines as established by internal and external sources.
  • Complies with all company and departmental rules and procedures.
  • Maintain open communications in order to keep Manager informed of all pertinent information and/or irregularities.
  • Have a proactive plan when problems arise.
  • Assist in proofing, both artwork and data, database maintenance, lists, and matrices as needed for promotional support and execution.
  • Assist in the execution of retail, ticketed events and entertainment
  • Must possess excellent communications skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to uphold presentation/demeanor in stressful situations.
  • Must be self-starter and have exceptional organizational skills.
  • Possess the ability to work under pressure of deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate with Team members and Guests.
  • Excellent computer skills required, including Microsoft Office, Word, Publisher, Power Point, Excel and Google Suite.
  • Demonstrates and upholds Company behaviors.
  • Performs additional duties as directed.

Qualifications: (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing preferred. Three years' experience in promotions and/or special events.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move objects of 40 lbs.
  • Prior experience in marketing preferred.
  • Ability to be a TEAM player.
  • Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment process.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.
