Job description

Position Summary
Adjunct Faculty positions are temporary, part-time positions hired on an as-needed basis. The adjunct instructor will be responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of workforce and non-credit training.
This role focuses on delivering training in Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and applications for workforce development. The instructor will help individuals and employer partners understand and apply AI technologies to improve productivity, decision-making, and business processes across industries.
Major Responsibilities
  • Perform all instructional duties necessary to teach and facilitate student learning in assigned courses
  • Provide course outlines and instructional materials aligned with training objectives
  • Maintain student attendance and progress records according to institutional policy
  • Submit requested information within established timelines
  • Be available to learners outside scheduled training time for support and guidance
  • Address learner concerns and collaborate with program staff as needed
  • Meet all scheduled classes of contracted course(s)
  • Utilize instructional technologies (e.g., Canvas, PowerPoint, Teams) as appropriate
  • Notify appropriate personnel in the event of absence
  • Conduct all activities with an appreciation and respect for diversity and inclusion

Workforce AI Training Responsibilities
  • Deliver non-credit training in Artificial Intelligence topics such as:
    • Introduction to AI and Generative AI
    • Practical applications of AI in the workplace
    • Prompt engineering and effective AI tool usage
    • AI for business productivity (writing, data analysis, communication)
    • AI tools such as chat-based assistants, image generation, and automation tools
  • Integrate widely used AI platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and similar tools) into instruction

Minimum Qualifications

Work Environment
